Laminate DOs
Do dust mop, sweep and vacuum with a soft bristle brush regularly. Blot up spills with a damp cloth as soon as they happen and never let liquids spills stand on your floor. For tougher spots like markers, lipstick, oils, and paint, use acetone/nail polish remover on a clean white cloth, then remove any residue with a soft dry slightly damp cloth.
Do remove shoes with cleats, spikes, or damaged heels to avoid scratching.
Do clean periodically with a cleaning product made specifically for laminate floors.
Do use felt or similar floor protectors on your furniture legs and bottoms to help prevent indentations and scratches.
Do keep your pet's nails trimmed to prevent scratching.
Do utilize a recommended humidifier during the winter to prevent excessive shrinking and conversely, utilize an air conditioner or dehumidifier during the summer months.

Laminate DON'Ts
Don't use an abrasive cloth, cleaner, steel wool, or wax, polish, and oil.
Don't wash or clean with a wet mop, soap, and water, detergent. This may result in swelling, delaminating, or warping in the laminate.
Don't use any kind of cleaning machine, such as a spray mop, steam cleaner, polisher and or buffer.
